What Is TrimRx?
TrimRx is a San Diego company that started trading in June 2024 and sells GLP-1 treatment as a single all-in price — consultation, medication, supplies, shipping and follow-ups in one number, with no separate membership fee. Two things genuinely distinguish it. The first is that absence of a second bill. The second is more valuable: TrimRx advertises a flat rate that does not increase as your dose escalates, which is rare in compounded GLP-1 and can be worth a great deal to anyone who expects to titrate up.
The complication is that the advertised price and the monthly price are different things. TrimRx's own cost guides quote compounded semaglutide at $199/month and tirzepatide at $349/month, and its promotional landing pages go lower still. U.S. News reported the underlying ladder: semaglutide at $174/month on a twelve-month plan, $191/month on six months and $209/month on three months — each paid upfront as a lump sum — against a month-to-month option of $179 for the first month and $299/month thereafter.
That structure is legitimate and clearly cheaper if you commit. But it means the headline figure is a prepaid annual rate, the real month-to-month cost is roughly 50% higher than advertised, and the twelve-month plan lands as a single four-figure charge. Read the complaint record and that is precisely where it hurts: customers describing a full year billed when they expected three months, and prices stepping up from a promotional rate to the standing one at renewal.

- Flat pricing across doses is the genuine advantage here. Providers whose price climbs with your dose can cost far more by maintenance, so a flat rate is worth paying something for if you expect to titrate up.
- Promotional rates change constantly — affiliate landing pages have carried seasonal discount codes, a $149/month price-lock offer and a first-month rate well below the standing price. Confirm what renews at, not just what you pay today.
- Brand-name medication is offered, but published figures differ across sources and we could not verify a single authoritative price, so we are not quoting one. Check it at checkout.
- A large share of the search results about TrimRx are published by TrimRx, including competitor comparisons and a self-authored piece titled "Is TrimRx Legit". Treat those as marketing rather than independent assessment.

Limitations
Establish exactly which plan you are buying before you pay. The gap between the advertised rate and the month-to-month rate is the single most common source of complaint against this company.
If you prepay a year, you are buying a year. Compounded medication is not returnable once shipped, so treat the lump sum as committed rather than refundable.
Diary the renewal date and confirm what the price steps up to afterwards — promotional first-month and price-lock offers do not all continue at the same rate.
BBB accredited TrimRx in June 2025, but its BBB profile was under review when we checked and neither complaints nor customer reviews were readable, so that accreditation is not currently backed by a visible complaint record.
About Compounded GLP-1s
The FDA declared the tirzepatide shortage resolved in December 2024 and the semaglutide shortage resolved in February 2025, which ended the window for compounding pharmacies to make large volumes of copies of those drugs (503A pharmacies had until April 22, 2025; 503B outsourcing facilities until May 22, 2025). Many telehealth companies continue to offer compounded GLP-1s prescribed for an individual patient — often as a personalized dose, a microdose, or a formulation combined with a vitamin such as B12 or B6. That practice sits in a contested legal area, and the FDA has continued to act. In a Federal Register notice published on May 1, 2026, the FDA proposed not to include semaglutide, tirzepatide or liraglutide on the 503B bulks list, saying it had not identified sufficient evidence of a clinical need for outsourcing facilities to compound them from bulk substances; the comment period was extended to July 30, 2026. Separately, in February 2026 the FDA issued warning letters to 30 telehealth companies over false or misleading claims about compounded GLP-1s, and it has continued: a further round dated 8 June 2026 — 25 warning letters, posted publicly on 16 June 2026 — reached companies including Medica Weight Loss, FITISH and Roen Health (RoenRx), again over false or misleading claims about compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide that the FDA said made the products misbranded under sections 502(a) and 502(bb) of the FD&C Act. The claims cited included suggesting the products were FDA-approved, implying equivalence to Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro or Zepbound, and asserting the "same active ingredient" or "same results" as the approved drugs. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved, which means they have not gone through the same review as the brand-name products.

When we checked in August 2026 its BBB profile was under review, with complaints and customer reviews both unreadable, so we could not verify its complaint volume. Independent review platforms show a polarised picture — a large body of positive reviews about results and delivery alongside a substantial minority of one-star reviews concentrated on billing. Note also that much of the "review" content about TrimRx in search results is published by TrimRx itself.
Is TrimRx's compounded semaglutide FDA-approved?
No. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved and have not been evaluated by the FDA for safety, efficacy or quality, regardless of who prepares them. TrimRx describes its medication as prepared by FDA-registered compounding pharmacies, but registration describes the facility, not approval of the drug. TrimRx does not name which pharmacy fills its prescriptions.
Who should not use TrimRx?
Anyone who needs insurance to pay, anyone unwilling to prepay for the advertised rate, and anyone who wants to know which pharmacy makes their medication. Separately, GLP-1 medications are not appropriate if you have a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or MEN 2, if you are pregnant or trying to conceive, or if you have had pancreatitis. Common side effects include nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea and constipation, particularly while titrating. That assessment belongs to a licensed clinician who knows your history.
