Its headline achievement is a genuine one. Fridays publishes brand-name Wegovy, in either pill or pen form, at $49 for a first month and $98/month on an annual prepay. That is the cheapest price for FDA-approved semaglutide we have found anywhere, undercutting even NovoCare Pharmacy's $149/month direct-from-manufacturer rate for the pill. If it holds at checkout, it is the strongest brand-name offer in this comparison.
The rest of the price list is a study in contrasts. Compounded semaglutide runs $117 to $150/month on annual prepay against $249/month month-to-month; compounded tirzepatide $198 to $240/month annually against $359/month monthly. But brand-name Ozempic is listed at $1,498/month and Zepbound at $1,828/month — close to list price, and far above what LillyDirect charges for Zepbound. If a clinician offers you a GLP-1 at a BMI in the low twenties, ask directly why it is clinically indicated for you. These medications are approved for obesity and for overweight with a weight-related condition, not for cosmetic weight loss.

About Compounded GLP-1s
The FDA declared the tirzepatide shortage resolved in December 2024 and the semaglutide shortage resolved in February 2025, which ended the window for compounding pharmacies to make large volumes of copies of those drugs (503A pharmacies had until April 22, 2025; 503B outsourcing facilities until May 22, 2025). Many telehealth companies continue to offer compounded GLP-1s prescribed for an individual patient — often as a personalized dose, a microdose, or a formulation combined with a vitamin such as B12 or B6. That practice sits in a contested legal area, and the FDA has continued to act. In a Federal Register notice published on May 1, 2026, the FDA proposed not to include semaglutide, tirzepatide or liraglutide on the 503B bulks list, saying it had not identified sufficient evidence of a clinical need for outsourcing facilities to compound them from bulk substances; the comment period was extended to July 30, 2026. Separately, in February 2026 the FDA issued warning letters to 30 telehealth companies over false or misleading claims about compounded GLP-1s, and it has continued: a further round dated 8 June 2026 — 25 warning letters, posted publicly on 16 June 2026 — reached companies including Medica Weight Loss, FITISH and Roen Health (RoenRx), again over false or misleading claims about compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide that the FDA said made the products misbranded under sections 502(a) and 502(bb) of the FD&C Act. The claims cited included suggesting the products were FDA-approved, implying equivalence to Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro or Zepbound, and asserting the "same active ingredient" or "same results" as the approved drugs. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved, which means they have not gone through the same review as the brand-name products.

The FDA-approved indications for the branded weight-management GLP-1s are a BMI of 30 or above, or 27 or above alongside a weight-related condition, and clinical guidelines follow that. A published screening floor of 20 does not mean a clinician will prescribe to someone at that weight, but it is a much less conservative gate than the medications' own labelling supports.
